All-Natural Wellness
“Everything in nature invites us constantly to be what we are.”
—Gretel Ehrlich
A lot of things touted as “all-natural” are anything but.
But it doesn’t get any more natural than spending time with nature.
Did you know spending time with nature lowers your heart rate, blood pressure, and levels of stress hormones?
When you spend time with nature, you’re literally put at ease.
When you spend time with nature, your heart, your blood vessels, your entire body, your entire being chills out.
Ahh.
Ease is the polar opposite of sickness, commonly referred to as “disease” (dis-ease).
Spending time with nature and experiencing some more ease is a great way to experience less dis-ease.
Green space, blue space, any natural space will do.
That’s because we humans evolved inextricably linked with nature. Being in the woods, being along the shore—is being home. Why do you think mountains and beaches are the most popular vacation destinations?
A great way to nourish yourself is with nature meals, snacks, and feasts.
A nature meal is a medium experience of time with nature. Something like an hour-long walk in the woods or along the shore.
A nature snack is a small experience of time with nature. Something like five minutes of fresh air between meetings.
A nature feast is a large experience of time with nature. Something like a vacation in a national park.
What does spending time with nature do for you?
How do you like to spend time with nature?
How could you build more nature meals, snacks, and feasts into your life?
“Study nature, love nature, stay close to nature. It will never fail you.”
—Frank Lloyd Wright
